The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has recently given out about 200 plots of land in Sector 7, Pithampur. This includes 196 plots for homes and four plots for businesses. These land pieces were given to people who had registered their land between January 1, 2023. September 1, 2023. The plots were given out through an online drawing system.
Himanshu Prajapati, who is an Executive Director at MPIDC, said that the value of these properties given to landowners this week was more than 21 crore rupees. He also mentioned that the process of giving out plots is still going on. the next round of plot distribution is set for August 22 at the MPIDC office.

The remaining 80 percent is given to them as developed plots for homes or businesses in the same area.

This could mean landowners get more than three and a half times the original market value of their land in the long run. For Sector 7 in Pithampur, the plan is to develop over 2,000 hectares of land. A large part of this land, about 1,351 hectares, needs to be bought from private landowners.
