Next Payment for Farmers

The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, is set to send the second payment under the CM Kisan Kalyan Yojana for the financial year 2025-26. This money will go into the bank accounts of farmers in Madhya Pradesh on August 14, 2025. This payment is estimated to be 500 crore rupees and will benefit about 83 lakh farmers. How the Scheme Helps Farmers

Who Gets the Money

  • Those who hold or have held government positions or are elected members.
  • Current or retired government workers and employees of local government bodies (except for multi-tasking staff or Group D employees).
  • Retired persons who receive a monthly pension of 10,000 rupees or more (except for multi-tasking staff or Group D employees).
  • Professionals like doctors, engineers. lawyers.
  • Farmers who do not use their land for farming or leave it uncultivated.
  • Holders of large institutional land.

The local government officer, known as a Patwari, checks and confirms the details of all eligible farmers. These details are then put onto the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Portal.

Looking Back at Past Payments

The scheme began in September 2020. Initially, it provided 4,000 rupees annually in two payments. But, starting from 2023, the amount was increased to 6,000 rupees per year, given in three payments of 2,000 rupees each. By March 2025, the Madhya Pradesh government had given out more than 17,500 crore rupees through this scheme. This money helped over 83 lakh farmers. The first payment for the financial year 2025-26 was sent out on April 30, 2025.
