Assembly Concludes Long Debate on State’s Future

The Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly has finished its first-ever 24-hour debate on the “Vision Document 2047,” marking a significant event for the state. The discussion, which stretched over a full day and night, aimed to create a detailed plan for Uttar Pradesh to become a leading state in India by 2047, the year the country celebrates 100 years of independence. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present during the entire proceedings. The main idea of the debate was “Developed India, Developed Uttar Pradesh,” focusing on how the state can greatly help India become a major economic power globally.

Plans for a Stronger State Economy

During the debate, state ministers presented plans to make Uttar Pradesh a stronger economy. The state government has set a goal for Uttar Pradesh to become a 6 trillion dollar economy by 2047. The state also aims to become a major hub for details technology and goods movement. As part of its technology push, the government is looking at launching its own satellite with help from the national space agency. This satellite would help with data about natural disasters and weather.

Ministers Share Their Views

Several ministers spoke about the importance of the debate and the state’s future plans. Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak called the debate a landmark event that will help shape future policies. Cabinet Minister Dayashankar Singh explained that ministers used the session to show what their departments have done from 2017 to 2025. They also explained their plans for progress from 2025 to 2047. He mentioned that the transport department has already made changes, allowing people to get permits using their mobile phones, even at night. Fisheries Minister Sanjay Kumar Nishad noted that it was a fortunate moment for the state that leaders were discussing the public’s interests for 24 hours. He stated that Uttar Pradesh’s progress is key for India to become a global economic leader.
