Deputy Chief Minister Takes Strong Stand in Bhilwara

The Deputy Chief Minister recently conducted a detailed review of various public projects in Bhilwara, making it clear that timely completion and good quality work are top priorities. During the meeting, she issued a strong warning to contractors who are not doing their jobs well or causing delays. She said that such contractors would face serious action, including being blacklisted.

The review covered many crucial areas, including public works, tourism. women and child welfare departments. The aim was to make sure that government plans reach all eligible people without any delay.

Focus on Public Works Department Projects

A major part of the discussion focused on the Public Works Department (PWD). The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that building and repairing roads must be done on time and to a high standard. She told officials to personally keep a close watch on these projects.

“Road construction and repair works must be completed on time, ensuring quality. Contractors failing to deliver will be blacklisted.”

This statement highlights the government’s firm stance against poor performance and delays. The Deputy Chief Minister also asked companies to use their corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds for public welfare projects. Bhilwara district has faced severe water shortage for many years due to low rainfall and too much use of underground water. Many homes in the district have also been affected by poor quality underground water.

The Chambal-Bhilwara Water Supply Project was started to solve this problem by bringing water from the Chambal River. This project aims to provide drinking water to Bhilwara town, eight other towns. 1688 villages in the district.

But, the project has faced issues like lack of funds and problems between different departments. In 2015, there were reports that about 900 crore rupees had been spent. the project was still facing money problems.

The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) is working to provide clean water to everyone in the state, despite challenges like unpredictable rainfall and falling water levels.

Eyewitnesses said the accident was caused by improper filling of the lintel and rather early removal of support structures. Villagers also said that low-quality materials were used in the school’s construction.
